Mr. Carlos Acosta Bermudez

Mr. Bermudez has been working in several aspects of development since 2002. He initiated his career working with IFI’s in sustainable development programmes and eventually began serving as a ministerial adviser. He has 8 years of experience in the United Nations, in WFP Regional Bureau for LAC, as Evaluation Officer for UNDP & Coordination Officer for the Resident Coordinator, and most recently, leading a regional initiative with the UN Economic Commission for Africa, for the fight against child undernutrition based in Addis Ababa and supporting 12 countries in the region.

Previously, he was working as the Chief of Social Policy, Evaluation, Analytics and Research in UNICEF, Bangladesh. Currently, he is working as the Regional Chief of Programme, Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation for Europe and Central Asia at UNICEF. Professionally, he has a keen interest in Programme Evaluation, Sustainable Development, and Strategic Planning.
